Our After-School Classes give players a fun, engaging football session right after their school day, offering a great alternative to traditional after-school care. The whole program is built around having fun, building confidence, and learning life skills in a safe, supportive environment. We follow a structured curriculum based on football fundamentals (Dribbling, passing, shooting, 1v1, defence) with Junior groups (K-2) learning through discovery and active play, while Senior groups (Years 3-6) start applying core skills in more game-realistic situations. Across every session, we focus on fair play, responsibility, teamwork, and helping players grow as people while developing a love for the game.

WHO WOULD THIS CLASS SUIT?

Our After-School Classes are designed for players of all ability levels from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Players are split into 2 seperate groups for maximum enjoyment and development: Juniors (K-2) and Seniors (Years 3-6).

Coaching Style

Coaches create a fun, safe, and encouraging environment where players feel confident to try new things and learn from mistakes. With Juniors, our coaches use lots of positive reinforcement, simple cues, and discovery-based games to build comfort with the ball. With Seniors, we gradually raise expectations-asking questions to develop thinking, guiding small team behaviours, and supporting responsibility, fair play, and positive habits. Across all ages, we focus on kindness, sportsmanship, resilience, teamwork, and celebrating effort.

Methodology

The program follows a structured curriculum centered on the football fundamentals: dribbling, passing, first touch, shooting, and basic defending. Junior players learn through high-energy activities and imaginative games that help them develop coordination, balance, and confidence with the ball. Senior players move into more purposeful, game-realistic practices, developing decision-making and applying skills in small-sided games and activities. Every session is designed to be engaging, inclusive, and enjoyable - building both football skills and important life values.

Expected Outcomes

By taking part in our After-School Classes, players will: Build confidence with the ball and start to develop core football skills appropriate to their age. Improve coordination, balance, movement patterns, and overall physical literacy. Learn to work with teammates, communicate, and play fairly. Begin making simple football decisions (e.g., when to dribble, when to pass, where the space is). Grow in responsibility - arriving on time, listening well, effort levels, and caring for equipment and teammates. Develop a genuine enjoyment of the game and a positive connection to being active. Most importantly, players finish each session feeling encouraged, supported, and proud of their progress.

Progression - Where to From Here

Players who show enthusiasm, strong engagement, and readiness for the next challenge may be offered a place in the Hollier Sports Development Pathway - our Yellow, Green, Blue, and Academy programs. These small-group environments provide more structured technical training, tailored coaching, and long-term player development for those who want to continue growing their football. Our After-School Classes give players a strong foundation and connection to football - and for many, this is the first step into a lifelong love of the game.
Developing great players and good people

BOUNCE BACK

Mistakes are part of learning. We help players develop the confidence to reset, respond positively, and keep going when things don’t go their way.

DEVELOPMENT PATHWAYS

Ready to take the next step?

Our development classes support players who are keen to grow their skills, confidence, and love of the game.

Girls Development Pathway

The pathway is built on the principle that girls deserve the same quality coaching, technical development, and competitive opportunities as boys; delivered in an environment where they feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to excel.

At Hollier Sports, we take football development seriously. Every session, every activity, and every progression is built around a long-term plan designed by qualified, experienced coaches. Our curriculum follows a deliberate pathway that guides players from their first touches all the way into competitive, high-level environments.

Players learn through high-engagement, age appropriate and predominantly game-based practices that mirror real world football moments. We focus on creating intelligent, confident players who can read the game, solve problems, and express themselves with the ball.

  • We’re not just running fun activities - we’re developing footballers.
  • Footballers who are skilful, composed, brave, and tactically aware.
  • Footballers who can step confidently into games knowing that they can be the difference maker.
