Designed for developing players (around ages 9-11), the Green Class builds purposeful skills such as dribbling with intent, combination passing, and controlled finishing under pressure.

The intermediate soccer training sessions stay fun and game-based while introducing simple tactics like keeping possession and basic defending. Alongside football growth, players learn key life skills such as fair play and responsibility, helping them gain confidence, make better decisions and enjoy playing as part of a team.

The Green Class is for developing players (around 9-11 years old) who are growing in confidence and ready to build stronger fundamental skills.

Coaching Style

In our Yellow Class, we keep things positive, simple, and fun. Coaches use encouraging language and celebrate effort so players feel confident to try new ideas without worrying about mistakes. We ask light, easy questions like “What did you see?” to help players start thinking for themselves, then step back and let them explore. Instructions stay short, games stay active, and we constantly adjust things to make sure every player gets lots of touches and feels involved. It’s all about creating a safe, fun space where young players can discover the game at their own pace.

Methodology

Yellow Class sessions are built around one big idea: football should be fun. Our aim is to help young players build a positive relationship with the game through hands-on, game-based learning. Players learn by moving, trying new skills, and playing simple, engaging games that encourage creativity and confidence. It’s an environment where mistakes are celebrated as part of learning, and where players can explore the game in a way that feels natural, playful, and enjoyable.

Expected Outcomes

By the end of the Yellow Class journey, your player will feel more confident with the ball at their feet and more comfortable expressing themselves in small games. You’ll notice them starting to use simple dribbling, passing, and receiving skills with purpose, and becoming more aware of teammates, space, and when to try things on their own. They’ll also start building early game understanding through fun mini-games - things like knowing when to pass, when to take a player on, and how to work together to keep the ball. Just as importantly, players will grow in areas that matter just as much as football: sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, taking responsibility, and enjoying being part of a safe, positive group environment.

As players grow in confidence and skill, the next step in our Development pathway is the Green Class, where they’ll start learning how to use their skills with more purpose and awareness in game situations.
