Why We Take Photos and Video

A good photo of a kid mid-game, grinning after a goal, is part of how we celebrate our players and show families what we're about. We take photos and short video during sessions and events to capture the experience, share moments with our community, and show prospective families what Hollier Sports is like. This page explains how we do that safely, what your consent covers, and how you stay in control of it. It applies across every program and forms part of your terms of enrolment.

What Your Consent Covers

When you enrol, we ask whether you're happy for your child to appear in Hollier Sports photos and video. If you say yes, it means your child may appear in images and clips we use in our marketing and on our social media and website. Your child appears as part of the group and is never individually named or identified. We don't publish full names alongside images, and we don't share contact details or any personal information about your child.

Saying yes is your choice, and saying no changes nothing about your child's place with us or how we coach them. If you'd rather your child not appear, just tell us, and we'll make sure they're kept out of anything we publish.

You Can Change Your Mind Any Time

Consent isn't locked in. You can withdraw it, or change what you're comfortable with, at any time by contacting us, and we'll act on it from that point. If there's an image of your child already out there that you'd like taken down, tell us and we'll remove it from anything we control as soon as we reasonably can. Some things we can't pull back, like a printed flyer already out in the world, but we'll always do what we practically can.

How We Handle Images

We treat images of children with care. They're stored securely, used only for the purposes above, and handled in line with our Privacy Policy. Our coaches use Hollier Sports accounts and channels for anything we publish, never their personal phones or social media to post images of players, and they follow the rules set out in our Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct. We don't tag children, share images in private messages, or post anything that would let a stranger identify or locate a child.

Photos and Video at Sessions by Families

To protect every child's privacy, we ask families not to take photos or video during our sessions. It's hard to capture your own child without others appearing in the background, and not every family is comfortable with their child being photographed, so the simplest way to respect everyone is to leave the filming to us. If you'd like a photo of your child, just ask a coach and we'll sort one out for you.

From time to time we run events or special sessions where photography is welcome, and we'll let you know when that's the case and what the ground rules are. At schools and some other venues there are also their own rules about photography, which we all need to follow.

If You Ever See Something That Concerns You

If you come across an image of your child, or any child, that you're not comfortable with, or that doesn't sit right, tell us. You can raise it through our feedback and complaints process or contact us directly, and we'll look into it straight away.

How This Fits With Our Other Policies

This page works alongside our Privacy Policy, which sets out how we handle your family's information, and our Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct, which covers how we keep children safe online as well as in person. You'll find both, with everything else, on our Policies and Important Information page.
